June is such a busy month of travel for us or I would love to have come. During college, my parents moved to OKC and I'll bet I have not been back to Ft. Smith twice since then. I can't believe it has been 30 years! I graduated from UCA in Conway with a BSE and MSE in Special Education, went on to earn my specialist degree and education administration certification from the UofA at Fayetteville. I worked for a number of years as a Special Education teacher and then as a Special Education Supervisor for the State of Arkansas. Then, at 29, I met the love of my life, Steve Abernathy. We have three wonderful teenagers, Stevie-18, Hope-17, and Sterling-15. Stevie is a competitive barrel racer and trains horses. Hope is a competitive ice skater and competes as a junior lady with the USFSA and Sterling is a talented musician (mandolin). Right now, I am traveling with Sterling and his band as band/road manager. I travel with Hope extensively during competiton season and thank goodness, Stevie can haul her horses herself. Stevie will be a senior next year. Hope and Sterling both homeschool. We have a busy, full and blessed life and make our home in Broken Arrow, OK (near Tulsa) where we have lived for over 18 years.
